Basement Holding Cell at CIA Headquarters, Langley Virginia
Being locked in a cell that measures exactly 20 feet by 20 feet for well over 5 years gets old real quick, as Gerald can tell you. He's been locked down here for almost 8 years. The guys upstairs believe that he is a threat to national security, and so they keep him here. Locked away, but not forgotten, is one of the few men in the world that can project not only his mind, but his entire meta-physical self outside of his body and interact with real world objects.

1000 Hours @ 9988 Brown Ln. Austin, TX
A double wide prebuilt single level house with tan siding and mud brown trim sits among the industrial recycling complex's of the north east side of Austin Texas. The driveway is filled with a dozen operational and utterly disabled vehicles of all makes and models. The yard is baren except for a a few trees and an unnecessarily curvy sidewalk leading from the front door to the road where a lone mailbox sits covered in dust and rust. At the back of the driveway is a steel sheetmetal 2 door garage which appears as if it could easily survive an F5 tornado or possibly a bunker-buster bomb.
Inside the garage we find Mandy MacMilan, wearing brown & black coveralls, on a creeper underneath her newest project. A military HumVee painted flat black with more comfort and amenities than you would expect from Cadillac, and more gizmos than the CIA, FBI, NSA & NASA could cram into anything double the size.

After completing his medical degree with the army, Danyel was assigned to BAMC's Trauma Surgery team. It is here that his life will forever change.
Burns Army Medical Center (BAMC), Fort Sam Houston, TX.
Operating Room 3 @ 0900HRS.
Backing into the room with hands held up in front of him, Danyel is ready for his first live surgery not in a training environment. As he turns from the door he can hear his heart pounding in his chest, the lights seem brighter than normal, everything seems to be more vivid. He can taste the perspiration of the team through his mask. The aroma of burnt flesh causes him to gag and pause. It seems to be a mixture between burnt marshmallows and an overcooked steak.
This patient was driving a fuel tanker and smoking, and now needs to have both legs amputated as the explosion of the leaky container caused to much damage to them in order to be saved.
Danyel muttering: Why do we bother saving idiots?
